Why You Need This?

Our Recipient Referral Agreement is ideal when two parties (individual or company) are striking up a referral structure. This can be a percentage of sales, a set dollar amount, or another form of compensation. Turn those good reviews into new clients and customers while rewarding those who refer you to others.

This Agreement protects you as the Recipient Referral. If you need a Mutual Agreement that equally protects both parties, consider the Mutual Referral Agreement.

What’s included?

Who can use this?

This Agreement is used between two parties (individual or company) to summarize a referral structure, where Person A refers a third party (person or company) to Person B in return for a referral fee payment from Person B. This can be a percentage or set dollar amount or another form of compensation. This can also be mutual where both parties are referring back and forth between each other.

The Recipient Referral Agreement is different from a Joint Venture/Partnership Agreement because a Referring party doesn’t own a portion of the Company or isn’t creating an equal partnership. The Referrer is just referring potential Clients to the Company in exchange for Referral fees. In contrast, a partner will have more responsibilities and obligations in the partnership.

The Recipient Referral Agreement is different from a Brand Ambassador Agreement because the Brand Ambassador is just providing publicity and online links back to the Company’s products and services in return for payment. The Referrer will usually provide a direct, personal introduction or contact to the Company to obtain the referral fees, without any publicity.

The Recipient Referral Agreement is different from a Mutual Referral Agreement because the Recipient Referral Agreement is unilateral. It is the Referrer (Sending Party) who will ONLY be compensated with the Referral Fees, not the Recipient (Recipient of Referral). If both parties will be passing referrals back and forth to each other, please use the Mutual Referral Agreement that protects both parties in both roles as Sender and Recipient.

The Recipient Referral Agreement is different from an Affiliate Agreement because a Referral may be exclusive; an Affiliate may or may not be exclusive. Usually, an Affiliate provides links directly to the Company’s products or services in return for payment. A Referring Party will usually provide a direct, personal introduction or contact to the Company to obtain the referral fees.

Unilateral Recipient Referral Agreement

A RECIPIENT REFERRAL AGREEMENT is an Agreement that Person A (Sender) refers a third party as a potential Client (person or company) to Person B (Recipient) in return for a referral fee payment from Recipient. This is a FULL agreement that allows the Referrer (Sending Party) to be protected.
